Jewelry & Watch Links - DoFollow Tuesdays
Filed Under: Contextual Links, Do Follow Tuesdays
Every Tuesday we pick a vertical market based on the number of votes a market receives at our Vertical Market Poll. This week it is the Jewelry & Watch market. We invite all of you out there to post (in the comments) a specific link building recommendation for the jewlery & watch retail market (a good directory, authority website, blog, link search, etc.). If it adds value, we will approve it, give you the credit and a “dofollow” link to your site. However, we will just delete stupid, irrelevant, spammy comments – only truly useful information will be allowed.
Our avid readers (with the least brain damage) will remember our "teach a man to fish" post, where we explained HOW to find links for the Golf Course market. Well for all you jewelry and watch retailers out there, today is your lucky day. As you know, we are all about links. We do not like spammers and we do not like black hat, but we truly believe in "Link Love, Not War". So with that in mind, we are going to lay some nice link opportunities right in your lap. You still have to write a quality comment and get it approved, but much of the work is already done for you.
We went out and found six solid blog posts where you can leave an informative comment and get a backlink to your site. Of course, we realize we are putting these sites at risk of being spammed, so we encourage all of you out there to be good link builders and do not abuse this list. If you do, we will hear about it and it will be the last time we will publish such a list.

Produce content that is higly topical but with a jewellery angle….for example….
“Jenifer Lopez was spotted in New York looking at Diamond Rings”
You could say what kind of ring it was and what similar rings you have in your product range….this very often leads to links form girly chit chat forums etc

I’ve gone out and contacted all the brand websites that I’m an authorized retailer for, and asked them to include a link to my website from their “Find a Local Retailer” sections. Their sites usually have lots of authority. Enjoy!

I would strongly recommend doing how to text and video (youtube) on spotting a fake XYZ (tiffany, rolex, movado, tag, etc) item.

Because I’m targeting “Purity Rings” I search for blogs with young celebrities gossip relating to sex, unfaithfulness, etc. You’d be surprised to find there are a lot of dofollow blogs in this category. As Engagement Rings said, the celebrity angle is a good one.

There are plenty of industry websites out there that you can add you link to. Some that come to mind are JCK, IDEX, Rap and Polygon. Some may need a membership, but most in the industry have at least one membership to the above.

The on going trend of body ornamentation has contributed a lot to the idea of retail jewelry. It has made it affordable and within the reach of a common man as well. Browse Internet or visit the local stores to buy your favorite body jewelry item at a retail price. Here is jewelry directory from where you can get link http://www.jewelrybutjewelry/directory/

and a blog that welcome your comments and allow you to leave links are http://www.seosheen.wordpress.com

I suggest posting messages on industry related forums. Of course, the posting would need to contain relevant and useful information instead of simply a link to your site.
